Portgas D Ace from One Piece holds up a poke ball and looks at it in confusion, as he has never seen anything like it in the Grand Line. He stands on the deck of the Moby Dick, Whitebeard’s ship, until suddenly the world around him, and himself, starts to change.

The poke ball opens by itself, emitting a strange red glow, causing a cinderace tf as his fur sprouts from his skin and becomes more bunny-like. His clothes burn away as massive paws replace his boots and his fingers also merge into paws. Long slender ears burst through the top of his hat and his eyes widen as he watches in shock at what’s happening. The scene changes around him as well, as if being transported to the Pokemon world of Galar itself.

Fully a Cinderace, Ace stands on a dirt path and thumps his new bunny foot. His words come out in Pokemon speak, only being able to say “Cinder…Cinderace?” when he meant to say “How am I going to explain this to Pops?”.
