Drawing 1: A lavish court scene, featuring Paimon, Zestial, and Carmilla as 16th century courtiers, and Lucifer sitting lazily on a throne with his evil vizier Alastor behind him. Lucifer asks: ‘what news do you bring for me, my carnifex?’ The whole scene is an homage to the Polish court scene in Eisenstein’s Ivan the Terrible, part 2 (you can almost hear Prokofiev’s score in here)

Alastor and Lucifer in Alastor’s cramped, hot, radio tower. There are two vintage fans turning at high speed, one of Alastor’s shadow minions fanning him, and Lucifer using his wings to fan. Nevertheless our favourite serial killer deer is sweating and completely disheveled from the heat. He’s complaining: ‘it’s too hot to broadcast…’ Lucifer answers, sensibly: ‘why don’t you broadcast somewhere cooler?? This tower’s an oven!’ Alastor: ‘less talking, more fanning.’
