It is revealed that all of the attacking Metalix were actually tails and his friends wearing metalix bodies as armour for a combat drill. after everyone leaves, the bodies suddenly get up after receiving an unknown signal.

Tekno and Cynthia explain their whole deal to Amy. Cynthia seems to enjoy winding Tekno up and Tekno for her part is extremely wound up. Amy and Tekno leave the bunker now that Cyntia has deactivated the Metalix and we see tails, back at the Emerald Hill, battered and bruised in a piled of deactivated Metalix.

Amy, Tekno and Tails fight against the now awakened Metalix, finding them much tougher than the training excercise. Midway through the fight Tekno detects and signal and vacates the scene. Amy follows, leaving Tails to fend for himself.
