As a duel national (who used to be able to vote but this administration has made it impossible for me to register) whose spent nearly 4 years of her life State side, watching what is happening in my other country has been angering, terrifying, and heart breaking. I give and do what I can, but I never feels like enough, and often feels like all I’m doing is watching the end of the world ~ And yet, 24 million dollars later, and I’ve become obsessed with Trump’s battle against the Algae, with a vindictive and smug joy. Most of the times he has a bad day, another person is having a worse day ~ and to be clear, this is normally the worst day of their life, and possibly their last day. So turning on the news and seeing Algae?Let’s be fucking honest loves; to be able to laugh and not mourn is a rare gift these days! So I made something stupid; because it made me laugh this 4th of July. Buns dressed as a cowgirl, wielding a hot dog in one hand (and a second for later in her gun holster) pouring Hydrogen Peroxide into a pool of Algae. Like I said, it’s stupid ~ but I think we all needed a little of that for some levity. Oh, and just to be clear and so we don’t forget ~ these freedoms we celebrating today came from colonisation, genocide and slavery. We’ll never have true freedom until we have true equity, reparations and a return lands ♥️
